As they cautiously navigate the ruins, they witness from the shadows a fierce battle between '''[[Elfric]]''', the main antagonist, and a group of soldiers. '''[[Astra]]''' instinctively prepares to join the fight, but '''[[Dmitrei]]''' restrains her, advising that she is not yet strong enough to confront such a formidable opponent. As they watch, '''[[Elfric]]''' demonstrates his overwhelming power, effortlessly decimating the soldiers with a display of lethal force.

After this dramatic confrontation, Astra and Dmitrei retreat to one of the abandoned houses for temporary refuge. While Dmitrei tends to their immediate needs and provides guidance, Astra sets out to explore the city further.

During her initial exploration, Astra encounters a group of soldiers struggling to fend off hostile creatures. She assists them and learns that a small contingent of soldiers is still attempting to maintain order in the city. These soldiers provide Astra with valuable information and useful items as she encounters them throughout the city.

As Astra continues her journey, she meets Marina, who initially pretends to be a distressed citizen. However, Marina's true intentions quickly surface; she views Astra as a threat and tries to eliminate her. A fierce battle ensues, and after Astra emerges victorious, Marina flees, leaving Astra to delve deeper into the unfolding mystery.

Astra might also encounter Nerissa, a vampire, if she gathers enough information pointing to this shadowy figure rumored to be hunting survivors, demons, and other beasts alike.

Throughout Act II, Astra pieces together crucial information about the city's tragic events. She uncovers clues through journals, survivor testimonies, and scattered remnants of the city's past, painting a grim picture of the plague’s devastation. Her investigation eventually leads her to the city’s grand Church.

At the Church, Astra faces Elfric once more, leading to a heated confrontation and battle. Upon Elfric's defeat, the Nun appears, taunting Astra and invoking a demon that possesses Lucielle’s body, resulting in another intense fight. When Lucielle is defeated, her body releases a powerful surge of energy, creating a portal that teleports everyone away—except Astra, who is knocked unconscious.
Dmitrei arrives just in time to revive her. He points out the newly formed portal, suggesting it may lead to the Nun’s lair. Dmitrei advises Astra that the Church might offer temporary safety, and he will remain there to provide assistance if needed.

Determined to end the source of the kingdom’s suffering, Astra steps into the portal, prepared to confront the forces behind the chaos and bring an end to the misery plaguing Durnhelm.
