Elfric

Elfric, the main antagonist of the story and a boss in Kingdom's Bane:Requiem, was once a valiant and renowned knight who fought bravely for the Kingdom of Durnhelm. He lived in the city of Lioris with his beloved wife, Lucielle. Before the events of the game, Elfric was known for his courageous spirit. Though serious when duty called, he was also lighthearted and had a good sense of humor, making him well-liked among his peers.

One fateful day, Elfric was dispatched to wage war against a formidable enemy alongside hundreds of other soldiers. However, the kingdom’s commanders gravely underestimated their foe. The battle ended in disaster, with the kingdom's army fleeing in chaos and leaving Elfric to face his fate on the battlefield. Many of his close friends fell during the conflict, but miraculously, Elfric managed to escape. This harrowing experience deeply affected him; the gruesome memories of the battlefield haunted him, and the admiration he once held for his kingdom began to crumble.
